Where does he work?
Until recently I was a research assistant at Dresden University of Technology (Technische Universität Dresden), Institute of Process and Environmental Engineering, Department of Thermal Process Engineering. I have moved on to join the R&D Department of BURGMANN Industries as a calculation engineer.
What does he work on?
I have been doing research in wood drying. My particular interest there was in airflow and vacuum drying. Other projects have dealt with chemical waste incineration and waste water treatment of wood steaming condensates. I have been using the CFD-software FLUENT to simulate various problems in chemical engineering. In my current position I am doing all kinds of calculations concerning the main products of BURGMANN Industries: Mechanical Seals.
